Peering Inside Through the Coin Door at Electronics:

Two Cheap-o Optimus (Radio Shack) Amplifiers and one ViewSonic TV Tuner:

     I bought one of those Radio Shack STEREO amplifiers used on eBay.  It only worked with mono sound!  I complained and the seller sent me a second one.  Mono sound again!  Nuts to that; one amplifies the left channel, one the right.
